Switch Pro Controller stick drift test
Two steps, 11 seconds: let go of both sticks, then roll them slowly around the edge.
Press any button on your controller first (Switch Pro Controller).
What this checks
- A, B, X, Y, L, R, ZL, ZR, −, +, Home, Capture and stick clicks
- Stick drift at rest and stick circularity
- ZL and ZR show as on or off: they are digital buttons, not analog triggers
Found a problem? Read the fix guide, or test the motors in the vibration test.
Questions
Why are ZL and ZR only 0% or 100%?
On the Pro Controller they are digital buttons, not pressure-sensitive triggers, so a browser can only see pressed or not pressed.
Can I test Joy-Con here?
Joy-Con pair as separate controllers and browser support varies by system. The Pro Controller is the reliable choice for testing stick drift.
My Pro Controller isn't detected.
Press a button after connecting. If it still doesn't show, update your browser; recent versions of Chrome, Edge and Safari support it.
